For the second annual “Sitting Pretty” fundraiser, Antigo’s Mayor Bill Brandt has announced the winning chair as entry #16 by Beatie Gmeiner. This year’s Sitting Pretty fundraiser is coming to an end with the final in-person auction scheduled for July 25 at Music in the Park during the Bear Creek concert. Neve’s Veterans Mural by Brian Ponshock

Brian Ponshock, in collaboration with Antigo Visual Arts, Neve’s Furniture, and the City of Antigo, has completed a large-scale, museum-quality mural to honor veterans. This mural spans 27 feet by 45 feet on the east side of Neve’s building. It features a powerful American flag backdrop with soldiers in silhouette, a bald eagle centerpiece, fireworks, a green field with headstones, and a ribbon banner stating “Everyday is Veterans Day.” This artwork serves as a tribute to the sacrifices of our…
