May Membership Gathering – Sitting Pretty: A Chair Painting Event

Join us this May for a creative and collaborative AVA Membership Gathering featuring artist Kim Schoenrock as our guest presenter. This hands-on session invites members to explore painting in a fun, relaxed environment while contributing to a meaningful cause.

We will have 10 chairs available for painting—perfect for individual artists or small teams. You’re also welcome to bring your own chair to transform. Whether you prefer themed designs, abstract expression, or nonobjective approaches, this is an opportunity to experiment and let your creativity lead. Kim will be on hand throughout the gathering to offer guidance, share techniques, and support artists of all styles and experience levels.

Completed chairs will be featured in a silent auction at our AVA Art Center Celebration on June 13, serving as a fundraiser to support our programming and community initiatives.
