Monotypes. (Sept 1st)  REGISTER HERE–  Monotypes

– What happens when you apply paint to a glass plate, then lay your paper on top?

Come find out as we try monotypes, a kind of printing created just once in a bold and unplanned way- be spontaneous and successful at the same time. Cost is $5; all materials will be provided. Class limit-6 students

Watercolors. (Sept. 8th) REGISTER HERE– Watercolors

– Come experiment with some playful techniques that will yield fun and unique results using watercolors. From wet and drippy to careful and controlled, we’ll try anything!  Cost is $5; all materials will be provided. Class limit 6 students

All Kinds of Clay. (Sept. 15th) REGISTER HERE– Clay!

– Learn about the different kinds of clay that occur in nature and clays we can make using common ingredients. Try your hand at combining texture and dimension into your work of art.   Cost is $5; all materials will be provided. Class limit 6 students

Chihuly. (Sept. 22nd) REGISTER HERE–  Chihuly Sculptures

– Come discover how to transform empty plastic bottles into bright, colorful sculptures all in the style of Dale Chihuly (a famous glass blower). Your finished work can hang from a ceiling or be built up as a free-standing sculptural form.  Cost is $5; all materials will be provided. Class limit 6 students.

Batik. (Sept. 29th) REGISTER HERE–  Batik

– Art can even show up on fabrics! Start with a blank piece of fabric and create your designs in wax. Add deep bold colors that will resist your wax and, voila!  A fabric masterpiece!  Cost is $5; all materials will be provided. Class limit 6 students
