Antigo Visual Arts is collaborating with the Upper Midwest Bead Society and Team TOHO to be part of their Peace Ring Project by offering workshops at our AVA Art Center in Antigo.
Team TOHO is a non-profit corporation (registered in the state of Washington), comprised of wholesale and retail suppliers of TOHO Japanese seed beads. Members believe in quality of the TOHO seed bead brand, and seek to promote awareness, bringing world peace through 1 gram of beads at a time.
Toho Beads was given Special Distinction Badge at the G7 Hiroshima Summit 2023; founded in 1951 on the scorched earth of Hiroshima, Toho Beads has continued to make glass beads for making the world bright and clean.
We truly hope that this helps to connect and strengthen the bond among beaders all around the world to aim for a more peaceful world for everyone. We can’t wait to see your PEACE RINGS! Official “Grande Connection” will be August 6, 2026 at the Mall of America. The rings can be in any stitches, they do not have to be the official Peace Ring stitch, can be Peyote or Daisy chain or brick stitch. The goal is get beaders of every level to be able to participate. Rings in chain link can be 1-2 inches wide and Toho brand beads are required.
