Antigo Visual Arts (AVA), in collaboration with the Association of Wisconsin Artists (AWA), is proud to present the 2026 Antigo Regional WRAP-Teen Exhibition at Northcentral Technical College–Antigo Campus. The exhibit, located at 312 Forrest Avenue, was installed on the evening of April 10 by AVA representatives and will open to the public on Monday, April 13 during regular campus business hours.
Exhibit viewing hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The exhibition will run through April 23 and will conclude following the reception that evening, when participating students will collect their artwork.
WRAP-Teen is a statewide program designed to provide young artists ages 13–19 with opportunities to exhibit their work in both regional and state exhibitions. The program encourages creative development and recognition while inspiring teens to pursue art as a lifelong passion. Students receiving State Awards at the regional level may advance to the juried State Conference exhibit, where cash awards are presented and selected artwork is published in the AWA Annual Color Catalog.
This year’s regional exhibition features 62 submitted pieces representing a wide range of artistic styles and mediums. Participating students were mentored by art teachers from school districts including White Lake, Antigo, Laona, Wabeno, Rhinelander, West Bend, Crandon, Three Lakes, Elcho, Bowler, and Menominee, as well as independent and specialized programs such as Tom’s Drawing Board, Creative Phoenix, and the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD).
This year’s exhibition judge is Kim Schoenrock, who brings 37 years of experience as a K–12 art teacher with the Elcho School District. Her educational background includes studies at UW–Stout and UW–Stevens Point.
A public reception will be held on April 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the NTC-Antigo Campus. The evening will feature a short discussion with the artists led by Langlade County Circuit Court Judge John Rhode. Guest speaker Madison Hager, Curator of Art at the Center for the Visual Arts in Wausau, will also present. The event will conclude with the exhibit judge’s award ceremony. Additional highlights include a sponsored award from Sawmill Surplus of Antigo and a Viewer’s Choice Award sponsored by AVA, which will be determined by attendee voting.
Vicki Eldridge, AVA Gallery Director, assisted in installing the exhibit and shared, “I’m truly inspired to see young artists in our community flourishing the way they are. The pieces featured in this year’s teen WRAP show are nothing short of remarkable, and being part of the team that brings this event together is incredibly exciting.”
Antigo Visual Arts invites the community to attend the exhibition and celebrate the creativity and talent of local youth artists.
