The Antigo Visual Arts (AVA) Art Center is celebrating the young artists recognized in the first WRAP-Kids program held in northern Wisconsin. The exhibit, featuring artwork by children ages 5–12, remains on display at the Antigo Public Library through July 24.
Coordinated by AVA Art Center Manager Kim Schoenrock, the WRAP-Kids event introduced young artists to the full creative process of making, exhibiting, and sharing their artwork with the community. The program is part of the Wisconsin Regional Art Program tradition sponsored by the Association of Wisconsin Artists.
A public reception on July 17 brought families, friends, and community members together to celebrate the young artists’ accomplishments. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, viewed the exhibit, and participated in a Viewer’s Choice Award selection by voting for their favorite artwork. Vicki Eldridge, AVA Gallery Director and exhibit judge, presented awards during the evening.
“These kids have incredible imaginations, and I can’t wait to watch them continue to grow and turn their ideas into reality,” said Eldridge. “Seeing them learn new skills and create amazing projects in such a short time is truly inspiring. This may be a small creative showcase today, but it’s only going to grow bigger with time.”

- Remy Pasquali — “Tree and Magic Wand”
Artists receiving State Recognition, whose work will represent northern Wisconsin at the Association of Wisconsin Artists’ WRAP State Exhibit at the UW Pyle Center in Madison, are:
- Darla Holup — “Ender Turtle”
- Clara and Gwen Zanayed — “Coco”
- Bella Morrison — “Pant”
- Zoey Pasquali — “TV Time”
- Ruby Gretzinger — “Fred”
During the reception, Schoenrock shared plans to continue the WRAP-Kids program next year, with the goal of offering multiple sessions to provide more opportunities for young artists to participate and expand the program’s reach throughout northern Wisconsin.
The success of this first WRAP-Kids exhibit demonstrates AVA’s commitment to encouraging creativity among young artists and creating opportunities for children to experience the excitement of exhibiting their artwork.
Community members are encouraged to visit the Antigo Public Library through July 24 to view the exhibit and celebrate the achievements of these talented young artists.
