FEBRUARY MEMBERSHIP GATHERING – PRESS COIL POTTERY

Join us for an inspiring Antigo Visual Arts Membership Gathering as artist Kim Schoenrock guides participants through the expressive process of press coil pottery. In this hands-on session, we’ll explore the impromptu use of coils and pressed clay to create one-of-a-kind ceramic vessels rich in texture and movement.

Kim will demonstrate how simple coils can be transformed into dynamic surface patterns while discussing a variety of finishing options, including both non-fired and fired techniques, as you work. Once your piece is complete and dry, it will be fired, and we’ll reconnect at a later date for participants to choose and apply their preferred finishing methods.

This gathering is perfect for artists of all experience levels who are curious about playful surface design, process-driven work, and creative exploration in clay.
