Antigo Visual Arts Hosts Successful Opening for “Autumn-Hues In Harmony” 2025 Judged Art Exhibit and Sale

Antigo Visual Arts (AVA) welcomed more than 50 guests to the opening reception of its annual “Autumn-Hues In Harmony” 2025 Judged Art Exhibit and Sale, held on Saturday, September 20, at the AVA Gallery located on the second floor of the Langlade County Historical Museum.

The evening was a celebration of local creativity and the beauty of the fall season, featuring 55 original pieces by 18 talented regional artists. Visitors enjoyed hors d’oeuvres crafted by the artists themselves, refreshments, door prizes, and a chance to vote for their favorite artwork.

To begin the evening’s presentation, AVA member and former board director Camille Converse-Smith shared a heartfelt reading of her original poetry, setting the tone for a warm and engaging night celebrating the arts.

Formal judging for the exhibit was completed prior to the reception by artist and juror Lisa Krueger, who shared the following about the collection:

“This art exhibit is filled with the beauty of Autumn. There is variety, movement, texture, boldness, softness, mystery, and harmony among the pieces.”

Award recipients for the 2025 “Autumn-Hues In Harmony” Exhibit include:

  • 2nd Place: Sunflowers – Karen Now-Stimac 
  • 3rd Place: Rustic Flowers – Duane Philipps

The “Autumn-Hues In Harmony” exhibit remains open to the public through November 15, and can be viewed during regular museum hours on the second floor of the museum.
